A mini bookmark with each of there names, a stamped friendship message. and a thank you card that opens under the pocket with a memento of the SU Convention in Manchester.

Manchester Team Gifts Stempelwalkuere 1dThe pages are made of 6 plastic envelopes for Compact Discs. I turned then on there sides and used the envelope flap to punch holes in and attach them to my scrapbook cover.  They are bound together with a real red ribbon! I stamped a few pages and added DSP to get them started and filled the back page with matching papers and cardstock making embellishments or just framing their travel pictures!

I hope my friends have as much fun putting together there mini scrapbook as I did creating it for them!

I am looking forward to seeing their results!

Best wishes,

Manchester „Swaps“

Manchester Swaps Stempelwalkuere 1Hier mein Swap-Produktion! (Swap Production Line :-D)

Manchester Swaps Stempelwalkuere 1aI started with Oval Framelits, cut out a scalloped oval in Night of Navy and then one smaller in Whisper White card stock.I began to add color with sponge daubers to create a background landscape. Beginning at the bottom of the oval, working my way to the top,  first rubbing in Artichoke ink, then moving up adding Olive Green, Elegant Eggplant and lastly blending in Night of Navy ink for my night time sky. It is hard to believe looking at this dark image that it all began with just a piece of whisper white card stock! 😀 !  The especially smooth texture makes it lovely to work in my colors.

To keep my moon white, I simply punched out a 1″ circle Post-it note, and stuck it temporarily in place.  When I was done with the coloring of the scene.  I removed  the post-it circle and and wiped over the moon lightly with a dauber to create the look of a drifting cloud across the moon!( I am a romantic at heart! :-D!)

With black Staz-On ink I stamped a tree from the „Lovely as a tree“ stamp collection in the distance and one in the  foreground. Then with my „Aqua Painter“ I pulled streaks of water over my paper to give at it the look of a water color painting .  With the water also removing some of the dense color to give more dimension.

Manchester Swaps Stempelwalkuere 1dManchester Swaps Stempelwalkuere 1cIf you noticed a glare on my photo, it is because I attached an acetate oval with a mini brad  over my picture like a window and stamped my „Gorgeous Grunge“ speckled stamp into white Staz-on ink to create a falling snow! The window swings, so you have a wintery scene with and without snow fall.

Manchester Swaps Stempelwalkuere 1eAfter I finished about 60 Swaps, I decided to make a simple version without the acetate and brad adding my snow directly onto my picture with silver „Encore“ pigment ink.  Which takes a little longer to dry but is very beautiful and has a great dazzle effect.  Lovely for your Season’s Greeting cards, and budget friendly if you are like me and send zillions of cards during the holiday season!

I hope you enjoyed my little adventure into crafty techniques!  It was alot of fun sharing them with you! Please feel free to leave a comment!

Warm regards,
