When I told my son this morning that the computer had a „day off“ today, I thought that I was heading for a BIG „discussion“ !

And then when I heard that my son went to the telephone to call his very cool „almost teen“ friends, I though he might be trying to find a house where the computer didn’t have a „day-off“. But then the doorbell rang and his friends came in and marched up to his very cool teenage room and closed the door.  Within seconds I heard a crash and went upstairs to see what had happened.

My almost-teenager and his all-to-cool friends had had a nostalgic moment!

And this is what I found…

Laughing, happy, goofy „not-so-cool“ kids having a wonderful time!

Hooray for LEGO!

I am sooo glad that during the „I’m too big for that – clean-up“, that this „Chest of Miracles“ just got shoved in a corner and did not wander into the attic like the rest of his childhood favorites. I saw to it that his wooden trains also stayed in his room in a box. Hmmmm, ?  But that would be too much to hope for, I suppose!

15 Kilo Marillen später…(15 kilos of yellow plums later…)

10 Kilo Marillen wurden verarbeitet in Chutney, Kompot, Kuchen und 5 Kilo haben wir gewaschen, enkernt und eingefroren. Erstmal kann ich keinen Marillen mehr sehen!

(We made 10 kilos of yellow plums into chutneys, compote, pies and 5 kilos were washed, pitted and frozen. At this point I can’t look at another yellow plum!)

My neighbor just came over with another 2 buckets of Mirabelllen (small yellow plums). So here is my first compote! 😀 !

Today I was inspired by  Doris Kroh’s blog article with a cute owl treat bag!  So I decided to give it a try myself with my own twist, of course! 😀 ! Thanks, Doris!

My craft table was a complete mess so I just pushed everything as far away as I could to take the picture. ( I wasn`t very successful, as you can see!)

This is my own „Mr. Baby Owl“ creation using a framelit and 2 different butterfly, small oval, 7/8″ scallop circle, 1/2″ circle, itty bitty circle, small heart and boho flower punches from Stampin‘ Up!

He is about 6 cm tall.

Riech mal, Mirabellen-Cobbler mit Zimt und Zucker. Mmmmmm!

(take a whiff, Mirabelle Cobbler with cinnamon and sugar, Mmmmm!)

Das Rezept:

1/2 Tasse Butter schmelzen, 1 Tasse  Milch, 1 Tasse Zucker, 1 EL Backpulver und eine Prise Salz.Teig mischen und in eine Kasserolle 13″ x 9″ geben. Dann 4 Tassen Früchte mit 1/4 Tasse Zucker und 2 EL Zitronensaft aufkochen und einfach in den Teig hinein gießen. NICHT RÜHREN! Ab in den vorgeheizten Ofen und bei 190 Grad 40-45 Minuten backen!
