Stampin‘ Up Dove of Peace Collage Card!

Dove Collage Swap Stempelwalküre 3

Here is my swap from our team meeting.  It is a little different and artsy, using alternative stamp techniques.

Dove Collage Swap Stempelwalküre 2

I stamped onto design paper instead of white or vanille to give it a collage feeling and stamped the background with a relief technique using embossing powder and then rubbing over it with different colors of ink on a sponge. The embossed image resists the ink, leaving the embossed area white. A very cool look!!!

After taking a look at my card, I decided it needed a little creative „kick“, so I stamped dots to give my card a multi-media effect and then distressed the edges to add extra dimention, without making it too heavy or thick to send through the mail.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my project. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in expanding your own creativity by attending one of my future workshops or other creative events!

Have a nice Sunday!

Floral Wings „Just for you!“

Floral Wings Gr. Teelicht Box 6

I got this idea as I was desperately searching for a project to present at a creative team meeting tomorrow. It was getting closer and closer to the date, and I still did not have any idea what to make! Finally, after digging through some of my old christmas project tutorials, I found this „Pizza Box“  to fit 2 large tea-lights which I made for a xmas market last winter. After changing it around a bit, I decided that it would fit perfectly to a cloth bookcover which I had bought a while back to give as a gift. (I do still read books, the kind with pages and a spine! 😀 ) This cloth bookcover is floral and with butterflies, and matched perfectly with my new hostess stamps „Floral Wings“. And Tum-ta-ta-tummmm! My project idea was born! „Floral Wings“is a stamp set with 2-step Stampin‘, so I was able to easily place one stamp over the other. Floral Wings Gr. Teelicht Box 7

I am really enjoying playing with the new  2015-2017 „In Colors“.  I especially love this darkish melon red color. I liked to so much, that I went out and bought a blouse in the very same color! Floral Wings Gr. Teelicht Box 3

Here you can see that I stamped undrneath my butterfly in the exact same spot as I used on the butterfly itself. I hope the other ladies have as much fun making my project as I did! I will be showing a lot more stamping at my „Creative Open House“ on June 14th beginning at 13:00! Floral Wings Gr. Teelicht Box 2

There is nothing like having a great hobby to keep the creativity flowing! I adore the matching little resin flowers! Floral Wings Gr. Teelicht Box 1

If you are interested in seeing some more easy projects, or joining my artistic group of ladies, just send me a mail and I will be happy to give you the scoop on how to get started! In June there is a great „Starter-Set“ offer! Along with the already great deal, you also receive 2 stamp sets of your choice from the 2015-2016 catalogue absolutely FREE! Nothing like free stamps to make my heart sing!!!

Have a great day, everyone!

Super Reste-Verwertung…Origami Box!

Swap… „Lost in the translation!“

lost in the translation L. Kasparian Swap 2014 Brüssel

It all started with this one little swap I received from Linda Kasparian (lindakasparian@hotmail.co.uk ) a UK demonstrator at the Stampin‘ Up convention in Brussels in the middle of October. As I said before, I was on my way to France after Brussels and had very little space left in my suitcase for the over 100 swaped projects I received.  I was very grateful for each one, but with my already very heavy bags, I was a little more grateful for the smaller, flater swaps I received! :-D!

This was one of the ones which caught my eye immediately and I knew I would try it when I got home.  Which I did, and translated it into a standard size christmas card which I decided to use in my Chistmas Card Workshop in which we do 10 different cards in 10 different techniques and  deisgns!  I usually do this workshop on a Sunday every year at the begining of December.  It is really more of a „card marathon“ and not what we would call a workshop, but  I do warn everyone about the event before they sign up so the are ready to get down to „work“ right away as soon as they arrive!  lost in the translation Stempelwalküre copy L. Kasparian Swap 2014 Brüssel

Here is my translation of Lindas card, into standard size and with a sentiment in german. This was my prototype which I always make when preparing my workshops, so that my guests have something to look at while making their version of the card. During the workshop I make the card again, along with my guests, explaining the different stamping techniques as we go. For example, the „stamping off“ technique, when you ink your stamp first and then before you stamp your project, you make the first impression lightly onto scrap paper to get a lighter, more subtile stamped image on your card.  I used this card to demostrate a clean and simple stamped card for begining stampers. Well,  at least that is what I intended to do! But what happened about 3 hours into the class, was quite different to what I had planned.

As I was carefully stamping with black memento ink, without noticing my dainty little pinky must have dipped into the ink pad and made a BIG splotch on my card.  Being giddy and quite exhausted, (we had not gotten to the coffee break yet ) I, without thinking too long, grabbed my favorite SU stamp set „Gorgeous Grunge“ and tried to „fix it“! And this is what happened to my example of a „clean and simple“ card…

Once I started, I just could not stop! And it became this messy monster card!

I kinda like it anyway. Sh-t happens! But it turned out to be nothing at all like the original. That’s what I tell my stampers all the time, share your ideas with others, be generous, the copy is never exactly the same as the original!!! 😀

Have a great holiday season! My next workshop is on Dec. 13th. For more info, just send me an email at stempelwalkuere@t-online.de

SU Convention Brussels Swaps!

I am almost out the door!  Well, with the emphasis on „ALMOST“ !  The german train system has come to a screeching hault due to a strike! My charming hubby has agreed to drive me to the station on the border where I can get directly on the french train, which is hopefully not effected by the german strike!  Here is the first peek at my convention swaps.

From my home to yours Stempelwalküre Swaps Brussels 2014

A sweet little gift tag which I have dubbed „from our home to yours“  !  I had to keep my swaps quite small this time because the Stampin‘ Up Convention this year is „en route“ to the music festival in Vivonne, France „VIENNE EN VOIX“ in which I am proud to participate each year! So… knowing that I had to pack my „diva gear“ ( concert gown, music scores etc…) I had to decide on a mini swap.  I am actually quite pleased at how it all turned out!

I will surely be posting some great pics when I return.  Until then…

Ho -Jo- to- Hooooooooo…and off I go!

Easy Table Decoration- 1 piece 12×12 Cardstock – no adhesive!!

Team Treffen Swap Aug. 2014 Stempelwalküre 1Fast and easy table decoration using only one sheet of 12″x12″ cardstock, a paper trimmer and NO ADHESIVE at all! I was looking for something simple for beginners to „SWAP“ at our team meeting with our team leader Jenni Pauli. I came up with this 5-minute -project that you can choose to „dress-up“ as much or as little as you wish.  I keep it simple by just punching a border using my new Stampin‘ Up „Confetti StarsPunch“  from the SU Holday Catalogue just out yesterday! A great new addition to my already large punch collection.  One can never have enough punches!!!!! 😀 If you want to order one of items below, clicking on the picture will take you to my shop! (buying products in my shop requires a credit card, if you do not have a credit card you can order directly by sending me an email  placing an order and paying with PayPal or Bank transfer!)

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl – Independent Stampin‘ Up! Demonstrator.

Here is a free tutorial of this simple version…I will share a dressed-up version of this project after my workshop! (Don’t want to spoil the suprise! 😀 ) The tutorial is in german, but the diagrams are quite easy to understand. Nevertheless, if you can not figure it out, then let me know and I can give you a hand! I had to do the measurements in both inches and centimeters because of the markings on the Stampin‘ Trimmer blade ruler where you slide the blade to make the slits, has only centimeter markings. Here is the link to the PDF below! 😀
